Gary GrillCalled to the Ontario Bar in 1996, Gary Grill is a Toronto based lawyer specializing in criminal law. He frequently represents animal rights activists charged with criminal and regulatory offences across Canada. He also represents international animal rights organizations in court and advises them on Canadian law.
From 2013 until 2021 he was an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School where he taught criminal procedure. Gary also frequently speaks and lectures on animal rights issues. Gary is the recipient of PETA’s Justice for Animals Award for his work representing Anita Krajnc in the Pig Trial. |
Gwenna HunterGwenna organizes community events in Los Angeles where she is currently managing several Vegan Food Aid programs through Vegan Outreach and also the Save Movement that focus on providing nutritional support to communities of color. Gwenna is also the founder of Vegans of LA, Vegans for Black Lives Matter and a co-author of the book Voices For Animal Liberation by Brittany Michelson.

Adam NephinAdam became vegan in June 2017, inspired by his wife, a long-time vegan. Together, they have a child who has been raised vegan since birth. While Adam’s journey was initially out of convenience, he had a desire to learn the truth about animal agriculture and it’s impacts on the planet.
He has been actively involved in promoting a vegan lifestyle throughout his community and has served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of VegOttawa Association, a registered, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to supporting people interested in a plant-based lifestyle. Adam holds a Bachelor of Management, and is pursuing his Certified Public Accountant designation through CPA Ontario. |
Nirva PatelNirva is a passionate advocate in the animal protection movement. She is committed to supporting films that promote awareness of the One Health philosophy with particular attention to the exploitation of animals.
Nirva is an Executive Producer of The Game Changers - a documentary film that features elite plant-based athletes. She has never eaten meat and enjoys cooking vegan recipes with her husband and four children in Boston. Nirva has an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. A Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law where she was a Trustee Scholar and is currently candidate for the Masters in Animal Law and Public Policy at Tufts University. She is a member of the MA bar and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. |
